May Collective Haul

Hi ladies! So this post is about a little collective haul that I got throughout the month of May, nothing really special. I don’t usually do hauls of the month but whatever, I feel like doing it! So please bear with me. :) Btw, I got only little stuffs to share with you because I don’t usually buy lots of things especially during summer. No school means no allowance, you know.

So let’s start!

First thing I got are these Celeteque Products because it’s on buy 1 take 1 promo. I tried Celeteque Toner before (alcohol free) and works for me so I decided to try the other products. (note: I will do a detailed review one of these days.. i need more time)

Sorry, I can't remember the prices :(

Celeteque Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash-I love this! It’s not harsh on skin unlike most facial exfoliating wash

Celeteque Facial Wash- my current favourite facial wash!

Facial Moisturizer

Celeteque Oil Control Toner

Then, I went to Paterno in Quiapo to buy myself new eyeglasses. I prefer eyeglasses more than contact lenses at home ofcourse. I like buying my eyeglasses there because it’s not expensive and the quality is actually good! I got my previous eyeglasses (forgot the name of the store, sorry!) from the same store too and is still in good condition until now. That’s 5 years long! But I decided to buy something new. ;p (Price: around Php 2,000)

This month I also purchased a handbag polish from Sophie Martin Paris. I won’t say it’s great in removing dirts and stains but somehow, it works. Just manage your expectation. It removes dirt on my bags but not ballpen stains. I like using this to polish my shoes too! Price: I think it's Php 150?? not sure.

This month I also ordered Mac Lippies but not for personal use. I sell them. Originally, I ordered 6 lippies but someone already purchased two lippies

Then, just recently I went on Market Market and purchased few items
Shoe from Milani, (price: Php 899.75) – it’s on sale!

My school shoes from Rusty Lopez (price: Php 899.75) – I know... It looks so high school! Hohoh! BUT I prefer comfy shoes more than beautiful shoes . ;) Plus, I don’t like heels on my school shoes. Hahaha!

And lastly, right after Market Market I went to ECHOSTORE at Serendra to check out Junk Not items.
Btw, we are not the owner of the Junk Not. My sister’s friend is the one who owns that brand and I think we are the only resellers of this stuff online. Yes, they do have online stores but I think they are not updating it anymore. Oh well. Just to make things clear.

So, anyhow. Here’s the stuff we got at the store.

A recycled bag (from Junk Not) made of newspaper (price: Php 300)

A coin purse made from wrappers (not from Junk Not) (price: Php 150)

A coin purse again made from plastic straws (price: php 100)

A very cute pencils made from newspaper(you can still  see the articles)!  (price: php 35/pack)

Lastly, a ballpen! (php 22)

I love eco products! Let's start saving the World! Use eco friendly products as much as possible. okay? :)

Other stuffs I got during the month of May:

Zen Organics Goat Milk Body Lotion

Zen Lip Balm, Php 75.00

Zen Glutathione cream

Zen Barako Coffee Body Scrub! Smells heavenly!

Zen Organic Oatmeal Soap i like this more than Venus and Mars soap because it's not harsh on skin and feels soft and smooth on my skin

Olay Body Lotions and Body Bath you can find this at Market Market

Ever Bilena Pro-Leg Makeup (did not works for me!) Atleast I got it on sale.

Ever Bilena Pink Petal Blush, Php 110The color once applied on cheeks reminds me alot of Sophie Magic Pink Cream

Careline Lipglosses, Php 60 each at Robinsons Malls only

Me Now Concealer Pencil and Black eyepencil duo. (because I was looking for a peach color eyeliner without glitters and can’t find one so I decided to try concealer pen as eyeliner but did not works for me. But let’s see where I could use this). Php 44 at Market Market

Chapstick Lip Balm – i’m currently loving this! Moisturize my chapped lips and I like the taste, Php 76.75.

I think that’s all for the month of May! Thank you for your time reading my blog.

xoxo

IN2IT OIL CONTROL AND OIL FREE FOUNDATION REVISITED

Hi everyone! I would like to share with you my HG (Holy Grail) Foundation. Continue reading below to know why I love this foundation so much.

When I first saw this somewhere in google, I thought that it would come in a big compact like the one in Neutrogena but I was quite surprise when I saw this on Watsons. It’s a little bit smaller than Neutrogena Fine Fairness UV Compact and very handy to use.

The refill comes in handy pink compact too but without mirror. Please check my first review on this.

Down below you could see the shade of the powder and the ingredients.

When opened you could see the powder and a separate compartment for sponge.

Notice that I put a plastic on top of the powder to cover it. I hope it has a plastic cover (like in Neutrogena) to prevents fall outs.

I really like this 3 reason: cute packaging, amazing coverage and superb in oil control.

The sponge that comes with it is amazing too. It’s so so soft and works well with the powder.

But if you read my first review, the reason why I temporarily stopped using this is because it broke me out. The worst and longest breakout so far. Check this post on my skincare routine after my breakout.

But because I love this foundation so much, I tried different ways to make it works for me and it does!
Here’s what I did:

1. I was using Elf Two way foundation for quite a long time before switching to In2it Foundation. So I thought that maybe I broke out because of switching my foundation. Thus, I tried using different kinds of foundations every day and week so as not to stick to one foundation. I tried “light” foundations first (mineral foundation) then slowly switching to light-medium coverage foundation then to in2it foundation.

2. My sister once told me that foundation primer helps prevent your skin from absorbing talc and pigments from foundation. Talc clogs pores and leads to breakout. Therefore, I tried using primer underneath and see if it works on preventing my skin from breaking out.

The primer that I used underneath with this foundation is from Ellana, the Make It Lasts Ellana Primer.

Until my skin get used to this foundation and now I could wear it with or without primer.

I’m not sure which of the two helped me but anyway, the important part is I can now use IN2IT Foundation! Hooray for me!

IN2IT OIL CONTROL AND OIL FREE FOUNDATION

IN2IT OIL CONTROL AND OIL FREE FOUNDATION
2 Way foundations, Extra Coverage, SPF 25 UVA/UVB

Yes, I’m going to review the infamous In2it Oil Control.

Originally, I was going to buy Elf 2-way Foundation at Trinoma (FYI, Elf is my holy grail and I’m on my nth pan). I’ve been looking for Elf 2-Way Foundation in Beige for quite some time but it seems like it’s always out-of-stock everywhere I go!! Darn it! So, I went to Trinoma hoping to find one! Guess what! It’s out-of-stock ... again!

I’m really in need of powder foundation that has good coverage!

And then I saw this In2it Oil Control and Oil Free Foundation. I was tempted to buy it because everyone in GirlTalk was raving about it. Some say it’s a dupe of Mac Powder, others say it’s better than Mac. I was happy to know that they sell this in refill so it won’t hurt me that much if this will not work on me.

I was really excited to try this. This is my 1st purchase from in2it. If you’re wondering, I bought the refill, in pink case with sponge, the shade is in OCR 02 Warm Beige.

I like the sponge way way way better than Elf. LOL. But, it doesn’t matter. I don’t use the sponge at all. I prefer applying it using my Bare Naturals Flat Top Brush.

The powder is finely milled! When applied, it will give you a flawless looking skin! In terms of oil control, this is superb. It stays on until the day end, so if you’re quite lazy in doing your makeup over and over, this will work for you.

“It’s my HG! Better than my Elf!” I thought. But, this powder breaks me out after 2 days of using it. It was the worst break out ever!.. and the longest, I must say!

But, honestly, I still like almost everything about this powder. It provides me with almost everything I need in a powder. It’s just that I can’t make it work for me. But at least I’m happy to know that it works for other girls out there. Overall, I would still recommend this. You just have to try if your skin can handle this. Hiyangan lang talaga! J

Believe me! It's not that white on my face.LOL!
It blends perfectly when applied on face.

PROS
>The powder is finely milled
>Superb oil control
>gives you smooth finish
>it has SPF!
>It has refill
>the sponge is actually good, it’s the softest and blends your foundation very well
>good coverage, can be use wet/dry
>for its good quality, this is actually cheap
>the compact is sooo pretty!!
>available locally

CONS
>it breaks me out (that just me!)

PRICE: Refill, P 440 ; With Compact, Php 600+ (a little cheaper than Neutrogena)
Rate: 4/5
Would I recommend this? Yes, I would still recommend this especially if you think your skin can handle it. You never know until you try ;p

Note:
Stop using it when it causes zits on you.

Here’s my daily skin care routine after the breakout:

Morning:

>Yakult as Liquid Mask
This tip was taken from: http://whenchichitsthepan.blogspot.com/2010/02/diy-yakult-mask.html
How: “I just drink some yakult and then the left over poured on a cotton pad”
>Wash my face with Facial Wash
>Apply Emu Oil (I'm using Venus and Mars Emu Oil)
>Apply Skin79 BB Cream Hot Pink
>Topped it with Powder

Evening:

>I used makeup remover to remove my makeup
>Wash my face
>Organic Toner
>Emu Oil

I’ve been doing this for 2 weeks now and it works on healing my pimples. yey!  The only problem left is the scars from my breakout. :)
