WET N WILD LIPSTICK IN LIGHT BERRY FROST

I know this is a little late but it’s better late than never.

So here are my prizes from Ms. Kumiko Mae’s giveaway. I received it last January 17.
My prizes are:
>Sanuk T-shirt which fits perfectly on me (yehey!)
>Sanuk notebook, helps me a lot in listing some stuffs
>Belle de Jour Planner, my favorite among all. Hello, organized life!
>San San Cosmetics, I haven’t tried them all but I will and will review it for you
>Human Nature Day and Night Moisturizer, I haven’t used the Night Moisturizer yet because I still have my Body Shop Natrulift Night Cream as my every night moisturizers but I am using Day Moisturizer just because Body Shop Natrulift Day Cream makes my face really oily (but, I use TBS Natrulift Day Cream for Saturdays and Sundays).

Anyways, I’ll be doing a review on my recently purchased lipstick… the Wet n Wild Light Berry Lipstick.
(I forgot to take a picture of it in tube so i just googled this one)

According to Khymm, it’s a dupe of Mac Lipstick in Rocking Chick from Barbie Collection. Click here for swatch and review. I love Khymm’s Spend vs Save versions of lipsticks. More please. By the way, I’m still looking for L.A. Colors in Pink Parfait, it’s so damn hard to find it here.

Moving on, the packing is as cheap as the price of this lipstick. It comes in a clear cover which sucks (and reminds me of NYC Lipsticks) but I can live with that. The color payoff is totally awesome. The shade itself is nothing but adorable.  You know I prefer matte lipstick since most frost lipsticks really disappoint me but this one, I was totally blown away. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t expecting much from this as they are very cheap.
I don’t know how to describe this lipstick but it’s a bright pink shade that is wearable. I like how flexible the color is that I could even wear it for everyday or for special occasions. It’s even prettier when topped with my Etude House Lucid Darling lipgloss.
The staying power is average. Not super star but not as bad as Nyx Roundlipstick or Maybelline Watershine. Actually, the frosty finish doesn't last very long but the pink color lasts on me as it stained my lips.

The formula was surprisingly not drying on me. But, even so, I still use lip balm underneath.

So that’s it. I hope I haven’t missed anything on this tube. If I haven’t completely detailed it yet, please let me know what are your other concerns.

Oh well, I’m glad I saw this on Khymm’s page. I love her blog, as always.
(Pardon my face, no make up at all, only WnW lipstick)

MAC FLUIDLINE IN BLACKTRACK

My first ever Mac Fluidline in BlackTrack. I know you know I don’t like buying Mac products for myself as they’re expensive here. But, I finally got the chance to own one when I asked my sister’s boyfriend to buy me one in the U.S (fyi, with my own money haha!) as they’re cheaper there. I got this for around $15 plus 9.75% tax. Not bad. The price of Mac Fluidline here is approximately $25.
Packaging: It comes in a glass pot unlike my Elf Crème Liner which comes in Plastic pots and dries completely after 2 months.
Mac Fluidline is creamiest liner I've tried. I apply this with Marionnaud eyeliner brush to create thin layer on my upper lash line. Fluidline dries quickly on my eyes within 10 seconds or more.
The color payoff was just "oh okay" for me. Wasn’t that intense black when applied with 1 or 2 coats. But hey I wouldn't mind adding more coats to achieve the black color I want.
For the lasting power, I was not really satisfied. Elf Crème liner lasts me the whole day without smudging. I tried Mac Fluidline yesterday and after 6 hours I think, it smudges. It’s  not like those in eyeliner pencils that will give you panda eyes. It smudges like it’s crumbling. Have you seen your face masks as it dries up? It’s similar to that. It smudges like dried eyeliners.

I tried wearing it on school the other day... then I cried. Believe me, it washes away the fluidline easily but atleast it did not gave me super black undereyes like those liners that smudge.
But since the staying power wasn’t that superb, I like this for everyday as it can be easily removed with water and soap plus few swipes of makeup remover.

Price: U.S. – $15 plus 9.75% tax
           Philippines – Php 1,100 or approximately $25

Would I recommend this? I can’t believe I would say this for Mac Fluidline, but I would not really recommend this. I would still like to try other cheap alternatives. I heard Wet n Wild liners works better than this one? Maybelline has a dupe for Fluidline too. If you have reviews on WnW and Maybelline please let me know.

REVLON COLORBURST IN BABY PINK

I’ve been hearing lot of reviews from Revlon Colorburst Lipstick. I originally would like to buy Carnation but I saw this review, http://themakeupsnob.com/2010/04/another-viva-glam-gaga-comparison-revlon-colorburst-baby-pink/. According to her, Baby Pink is a dupe for Mac Viva Glam Gaga. Again, out of curiosity, I decided to pick this color instead of Carnation. I never had Mac Viva Glam Gaga as they’re expensive for my taste. So, why not try a dupe right?

So, to cut the story short, I bought Revlon Baby Pink. It looks promising in tube but I was not really amazed by this product… actually, I was disappointed. Read more to know why…

At first, I fell in love with this. The packaging is adorable. I like it more than Mac lippies. Baby Pink looks even more adorable in tube. But once applied, it’s pretty sheer and frosty. Though, it is buildable. (check out the pictures below) but believe me, it takes many coat to achieve the color I’d like.
I don’t really have problems with the shade… in fact the shade was lovely BUT was completely ruined by the shimmers. I always hate frosty finish, I prefer matte.

one coat of Revlon Baby Pink

more than 3 coats

Yes, I’m really disappointed and decided to sell this instead. If you’re still interested in trying this (in spite of my bad experience) you could message me. email address: eloisaco20@gmail.com. I’m selling this for only Php 100.00, add Php 80 shipping fee thru JRS Express or meet-up at SM Manila (Mondays-Fridays).

Here’s the recent pictures.

Would I recommend this? I would like to try other shades (carnation and soft nude) but will never repurchase and recommend this shade again. This costs Php 575 (I think?) which is quite expensive for a lipstick and does not deliver amazing result.

**Note: This shade is drying and not long lasting.
