Hi Eloisa :)

I am sure you get pitched on guest posts on a daily basis so I’ll keep this short. I am a long time reader of your blog and have been meaning to contribute – but I held back because I didn’t have a great idea that I think you’ll love.

10 Beauty Resolutions a Busy Woman Can Actually Keep

Work. Family. Life. For most modern women, there are plenty of reasons not to maintain a beauty regimen as we get older and responsibility takes over. Other things are simply more important, and time becomes exceedingly precious. Who has hours each day to devote to her looks?

Unfortunately, this is also the exact time that we wish we could take better care of ourselves as a way to compete with what time – and life – have done to our bodies. That’s why we decided to put together this list of 10 things even a woman with little to no time can do to keep herself looking and feeling her best.

1. BUY YOUR HAIR A GIFT

No time for the salon? That doesn’t mean that you can’t treat your hair well. Next time, go for the expensive shampoo with all the fancy hair strengthening ingredients and moisturizers. It doesn’t take any more time, but healthier hair looks and feels better.

2. MOISTURIZE

Most of us use facial cleaners and moisturizers every day, but we tend to neglect our bodies. Buy a good body moisturizer with at least SPF 15 and make applying it part of your daily routine either right after you get out of the shower each morning, or before you go to bed each night. Your skin will thank you.

3. FLOSS

Bet this is one you never thought of, but did you know that regular flossing can add years to your life? And, yes, it also helps to keep your teeth looking cleaner and shinier.

4. FACE MASK

No time to lie down? Put on your face mask once a week while you’re reading, cooking, or doing any number of things and you’ll be surprised by how little it bothers you.

5. DRY BODY BRUSH

The benefits (less cellulite, better digestion, tighter skin, dead skin removal) are just too good to pass up. Fit it into your routine right after you step out of the shower when you’re trying to figure out what to wear.

6. GET A NEW SCENT

Few things can make you feel prettier than a head-turning perfume. Even better, it takes no time at all to add a few spritzes each morning. Find a scent you love and go with it.

7. DRINK WATER

Simple, right? Actually, yes. Drinking eight glasses of water a day instead of all those artificially flavored beverages we put into our bodies helps with digestion, weight loss, skin tone – all kinds of things.

8. EAT LESS

You could try a million fad diets and still not reach the results that a simple truth will tell you: calories equal weight. Eat more, you gain weight. Eat less, you lose it. Try a calorie counting site like this one at About.com to not only keep track of calories, but make sure you’re meeting your daily nutrition requirements.

9. EAT FRESH

It shouldn’t be a surprise that the fewer unnatural chemicals we put into our bodies, the happier they are, but we’ve gotten so used to eating processed food that we forget. Whenever you can, try to buy freshly prepared meals or cook your own.

10. SUPPLEMENT

Skin moisturizing fish oils and other supplements can be great for women on the go who can’t spare time for a daily regimen. Simply pop the pill and go!
