Etude House Color my Brows

Hi lovelies! After many years, :) i finally decided to post this review! I had this for a couple of weeks now (or maybe, months? Weee! I can no longer remember). Etude house color my brows is basically an eyebrow gel, and definitely not a hair dye.

The use of eyebrow gel can be the same as the use of a hair gel. It place unruly hair where you want it for styling. Eyebrow gels can be clear or with tint. Tinted eyebrow gel is used to either darken or lighten the eyebrows.

Etude House Color my eyebrows is a tinted eyebrow gel. It comes in two shades:

01 Rich Brown- according to most bloggers it is a dupe for Mac Brow set in Beguile. It is a taupe color with tiny shimmers. However, the shimmers are not noticeable once applied on my eyebrows.  This color is best for people with brown to dark brown and black hair.

02 Light Brown- is a dupe for Mac Brow set Girl boy. It is a golden copper color with tiny shimmers. Just like the rich brown, the shimmers are not noticeable on eyebrows. Best for people with blonde hair or people who wants lighter eyebrow.

Most of the eyebrow gels with tint contain shimmers. Do not fret! These shimmers were placed in this gel for a very good reason and that is to make the eyebrow hairs appear more realistic (and not flat). If you still can’t get it (or imagine), try applying a mascara with brown-black shade (without shimmers) on your eyebrows then compare it with the eyebrow gel with shimmers. You would likely see the difference between the two.

The packaging comes in this folder like paper where the product is inserted inside. The folder has instructions on how to apply the product but unfortunately, it is written in Korean words which admittedly, I cannot understand. This has actually no use for me even the illustrations, I just can’t understand it! However, at the back of the folder/cardboard, there is an instruction written in English, finally! The shade is also indicated here.

The color of the tube matches the color of the product inside.
The applicator is like a mascara brush.  For first timers, this can be tricky. The first time I tried it, I ended up looking like someone with really thick eyebrows... seriously thick eyebrows!

I normally apply it starting from the arch of my eyebrows brushing it lightly in the direction of the hair, as if I’m applying a mascara, working my way down to the starting point of my eyebrows. Then, I go back to the arch going down to the end of the arch of my eyebrows.

EH Color my eyebrows can be used alone but I like using it after filling my eyebrows with pencil to make it look more defined and well-groomed.

The staying of power of this product is really amazing, definitely stays until the end of the day. It is waterproof, thus, quite hard to remove by just using water. however, it can be removed easily by a makeup remover, or soap and water.

PROS
-        - Lasts all day
-         -Tames unruly eyebrow hairs
-         -Quite affordable
-         -great dupe for high end eyebrow gels

CONS
-         -hard to apply (BUT practice makes perfect right?)
-

Overall, I really like it so much! I highly recommend it!

Price: Php 328!

Stress and Anxiety, Foods to Avoid Stress

Stress and anxiety affect the balance of our body, especially in regard to circulatory and immune systems, and we become prone to disease and stroke. Fortunately, proper diet and healthy other measures reduce its impact.

For some time health experts recognize that humans are more prone to illnesses of all types when subjected to extreme stress situations. So heavy burden of work, family problems, traffic congestion, and examination periods and to the birth of a baby at home can have undesirable consequences for health.

Stages in the response to stress:
* Alarm. It is the defense against an immediate threat. It happens even without conscious awareness and prepares us to overcome any risk.
* Adaptation or resistance. If the alarm stage is repeated or continues, the body tries to adapt to the effort and still works, but not as stable as before. Begin to manifest headache, insomnia, nightmares, poor concentration or memory, irritability, digestive problems, significant variations in weight and tension in the jaw.
* Depletion. When resistance is continuing the body can not extend the effort, the energies are depleted and fragile internal balance is broken. The ability to resist infection decreases while increases the likelihood of infarction (tissue death from lack of blood supply, mainly in heart and brain), high blood pressure, ulcers and even cancer.

In addition, prolonged stress can worsen conditions that the individual suffered from before, as diseases of the skin (itching, swelling and rashes or pimples), asthma (inflammation of the airways that causes shortness of breath), premenstrual discomfort (physical or emotional symptoms occur days before a woman starts her menstrual cycle), allergies and pain in head, back and joints.

Basic rules in the diet

Combating stress through diet is to eat healthy, balanced diet, although this is important to remember some key points:
* Respect the timing of meals and try to keep them stable every day. This will prevent sudden decreases in the level of nutrients.
* Start the day with a good breakfast. The lack of carbohydrates, vitamins and mineral at midmorning causes nervousness and irritability.
* The quality of sleep is disturbed due to abundant dining and drinking plenty of fluids before bedtime. It is recommended not to take food in the 2 to 3 hours before sleep.
* Avoid "crash diets" to lose weight because not only reduce the intake of carbohydrates but also vitamins and minerals.

Child Growth, Ideal Diet for Children

Maintain healthy diet during childhood allows children to grow, learn, interact with peers and protect them from diseases. Therefore, parents should ensure that their children have adequate food to avoid malnutrition and obesity.

The food must have a balance between fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. In children, the process of development is even more important. Here are the compounds you should not miss the guys, and what happens if this comes to pass.

Let's start by vitamin A, found in carrots, bananas, spinach, egg yolk, beans, liver, cheese and butter. It critical in the development and growth of the body, plus it works in the cure of infectious diseases and strengthening of the retina eye so that no difficulty seeing at night. However, no be present, is lost significant support in recovery from illness skin, tissue reconstitution and wound healing.

For its part, vitamin C promotes the formation of antibody increases resistance to infection and helps the iron act by preventing anemia, among other functions. However, its prolonged failure occurs that weaken the body's tissues (scurvy) and pains joints. Is your relationship with your skin? Helps in the generation of collagen (Essential in the consistency of the skin and hair), prevents bleeding gums and spontaneous bruising. Vitamin C is present in almost all fruits and vegetables, tuna, whole milk and egg yolk.

Another vitamin in the growth of bones in child is that unlike the above is not ingested, but is formed in the skin from the effects of ultraviolet rays. For this reason is very important that children take frequent sunbathing. When this not, can give rise to a condition called rickets, which soften the bones of the skull, and can affect normal development.

The lack of minerals such as iron can cause threatening anemia development of physical abilities and intellectuals. Others such as phosphorus, potassium and sodium influence the formation and strengthening teeth and bones, protein synthesis and help maintain proper water balance in the body. Therefore, the smaller should eat fish, seafood, rice, vegetables and fruits.

It is equally important to consume amino compounds essential proteins, such as L-lysine, since failing to appear in food, the child will be prone to skin lesions, have poor musculature, your hair will be brittle and thin, in addition to manifest growth retardation.

The proper development of children rests with parents. Do not neglect and be part of their healthy growth.

From plate to mouth...
Eating a balanced diet has benefits not only reflected in adequate size and weight of the infant, but also in the development of skills. Food is basic care during the first three years of life, when there is the most important neurological development. If the nutrient supply fails at this stage, the child will have an intelligence quotient (IQ) is not abnormal, but low.

What's for Christmas? SOMETHING (Finally!) AFFORDABLE

A few months ago, my phone got snatched while on my way home. *sad* I was really so depressed for days because I  paid for it with my own savings. So when my sister decided to apply for her first Globe plan she chose the plan that includes a free Blackberry Curve smartphone and gave the smartphone to me since she knows how much I wanted a BB phone. The Globe Tipid Load Plan then cost her 1500/per month! Quite pricey but I think is her average prepaid load consumption (including the pasaloads for me!!)

So you can just imagine how shocked we were when Globe released their Blackberry Christmas Promo which can allow us to own a FREE Blackberry Curve for just 599 plan! It even comes with UNLIMITED mobile surfing!! Its perfect for mobile blogging or when we just feel the need to update our facebook status from anywhere.

Globe really has its ways of giving their subscribers the best deals in postpaid plans. My sister also enjoys the flexibility of her load plan and the convenience of having her plan charged to her credit card to avoid the hassle of paying a lot of bills at different time of the month. She's also planning to apply to their new paperless billing, which allows her to receive her billing through email. Best of all, she gets to help our environment too!! :)

As you all know, I am still in school, but I think I could already afford to avail the plan if I wanted to. Plus I can get back a Blackberry smartphone for my sister. But Xmas would be so much merrier if through this blog, I can WIN one for her! :)

The best way to enter is through fruits and vegetables like orange, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, guava, kiwi, cantaloupe, strawberries, blackberries, peppers, broccoli, cabbage and tomato.
